Parent Volunteers

Dear Davisville JPS & Spectrum Alternative Families,

If you are interested in volunteering your time at our school, please contact the school principal and vice principal for information on how to complete your Police Reference Check (which will include a vulnerable sector screening). This is required before any parent/guardian can volunteer in any TDSB location.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Earthquake in Türkiye and Syria
Source: Taken from TDSB

The people of Türkiye and Syria continue to be in our thoughts following Monday’s earthquake that has tragically claimed the lives of at least 19,000 people and injured thousands more. As the search and rescue effort continues, our students, staff and their families here in Toronto who are waiting to hear from loved ones are also in our thoughts.

When a natural disaster of this level occurs, it has a significant impact on those directly connected to the tragedy, but also on those who may be supporting others or just watching these unimaginable events unfold in the media.

The TDSB’s Professional Support Services Department has created a number of important resources that may be helpful for you and your children who may be experiencing a range of emotions right now and in the days and weeks ahead.

As always, should your child require additional supports, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school principal and vice principal, Mr. Finkelstein and Mrs. Moftakhar, to discuss how we can help further.

The TDSB has launched a board-wide campaign to raise funds for earthquake relief. Thanks to the Government of Canada, all donations to the Canadian Red Cross will be matched until February 22, 2023. To learn more and/or to donate, please visit the Canadian Red Cross website.
