Hello,
WOMEN'S COLLEGE HOSPITAL:
WCH PARENT LETTER As mentioned in a previous communication, if your child stays home with Covid-19 symptoms you can pick up a kit at school and return the kit to school instead of testing at an assessment centre! We offer kits to students who are at home with symptoms as well asthose who develop symptoms at school. All kits should be returned to school forourier pick-up. About our kits and timing of results
“How-to” instructions are found inside the take home kit. If your child develops any symptoms of COVID-19 while at school, your child will receive a saliva testing kit to complete at school or to take home and return to school.
The saliva kits provided are not rapid tests, they are PCR tests and take up to 72 hours to process once the lab receives them. We know students are eager to go back to school but please be patient and keep checking the Covid 19 website for any results. If there are missing results after 72 hours they are more than happy to help investigate the issue as they are committed to sending results as soon as they receive them.
Avoiding delays Please remember that parents need to drop off samples at school and at NOT at the Assessment Center. There are daily pickups from the schools Monday-Friday and dropping it off at the Assessment Center delays this process and in fact delays getting the results. Incomplete forms cause delays. They do not want to discard the sample but unfortunately they have had to in some instances because of missing information.
REVISED COVID-19 SCREENING TOOL:
Ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff is a priority and everyone
plays a role. Toronto Public Health has made updates its COVID-19screening for students/children in childcares and JK to Grade 12 schools. Please use this updated version when conducting your daily screening before coming to school.
Here is the revised TDSBHealth Pass paper version and these updates are reflected in the TDSB Health Screening App.
One of the most important thing families can do to help mitigate the transmission of COVID-19, is to screen their children daily for any COVID-19 symptoms and keep them home from school if they are sick or have had close contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19.

These handouts may be sent home in hard copy, sent electronically or posted in your child’s Google classroom or Brightspace. Please feel free to call the school to also connect with your child’s teacher. Please use the following Zoom invitation for the 6:00-6:30 introduction by the Admin, Davisville Curriculum Night Intro
